Soft Pastel Sticks are rich and buttery. The pigments slide right off the stick without crumbling or breaking for brighter cleaner colors.
If this describes your child, I can imagine your frustration. Years ago, before I became a child and family counselor, I taught the elementary grades. I noted that my third graders could read and work somewhat on their own. My second graders read less well and had less focus power. My first graders were just learning to read and could concentrate even less. My kindergarteners were wiggle worms.
One reason why kids like cartoon character toys is because the figures are familiar. Most kids only want the toys that depict the characters on their favourite shows and they may watch these shows multiple times every week. If a child regularly watches a half-hour cartoon show that comes on every weekday, they are being exposed to the characters on that show for over 10 hours every month. That doesn't include the numerous commercials that they may see for the show or the toys that were created based on the show. All these events make the child familiarize with these cartoons. These makes the cartoon characters very familiar to the child and ensures that they will want to obtain any toy made that is based on the show and the characters in it.
Unfortunately, many parents fear that children will not make responsible decisions, so lecturing begins. This implies that the parents do not have faith in their childrens decision-making abilities. After awhile, children lose faith in themselves, in their own inner knowing. If young people do not have faith in themselves, then the parents faith in them decreases even more, and the lecturing begins again.
